Cheap $10 .ca Domain Names! (Finally!)

I was looking for this everywhere for months and never happened to find any coupon code for .ca domain names, even asking on the Digital Point forum GoDaddy coupons thread, but, never, never got any. You know I love .ca domain names, I had many of them, but I always have to buy at least three .ca domain names at a time to get them on discount prices (minimum order is $30 for most coupon codes).

Anyway, finally GoDaddy have a sale on their .ca domain names registration price! This is a website online discount, no coupon code need, and no expiry date either, so we don't know how long it will last! I won't take any chance and renew all my .ca domain names right away for less than $10, before this sale is gone!

GoDaddy .ca domain names cheap price:

$12.99 SALE! $9.99
Save! $3.00
(Prices are valid as of 7/24/2009 and are subject to change without notice.)

And you can still use these GoDaddy coupon codes to save even more on your .ca domain names:
  • $1 off - coupon code cjconeoff
  • Save 10% - cjcsave10
  • $5 off - gdr0705s (Order over $30)
  • $10 off - cjctenoff (Order over $50)
  • Save 15% - cjcdeal (Order over $75)
  • $20 off - cjcdeal77 (Order over $100)

(Rumor) Amazon Wants To Buy Netflix: affiliates' new Klondike?

Well, it could be great for me: if it happens I could start promoting Netflix right off the bat, if Amazon include this in their affiliate program, and I don't see why not. By the way, trying to promote Amazon renting on a certain website, I could tell you they s**k loll! Seriously, people don't wan't to pay $3.99 for movie rentals online! Give them a cheap one-month-fee à la Netflix, and now you're in business! Could be a inside homerun by the Amazon team!

Well here’s a hot little rumor. Netflix stock has surged today on news that it may be acquired by Amazon. The stock is currently up over 7% in trading today, at an 11-week high . Sources seem pretty thin, based seemingly on stock analysis from places like WhatsTrading.com . And neither company is commenting. But the idea is a hot one. Both Amazon and Netflix are in the midst of a full-on push to get digital video content into the living room. Amazon via its On Demand service, and Netflix through its streaming service.

My first affiliate check - and I am not too proud

I've got something funny today in my mailbox, but I knew it was coming: my first affiliate check! I was waiting for this for so long! But this is not exactly what I was hoping for. Let me explain:

I've hit my first affiliate conversion with a Linkshare network publisher at the end of May, and I wasn't supposed to get any check at this point: Affiliate programs' payment threshold minimum are always $50, even $100. But what I didn't knew is that Linkshare didn't have any payment threshold minimum, and I didn't set one either! So on June 18, I saw in my account that they send me my first affiliate check ever, but this was for only one conversion! So yeah, how much, lol? US $11.39! Haha! My first idea was to put my first affiliate check on my wall for motivation, but now I think I will deposit that first one discretly and wait until next month for my first true affiliate checks - I've got some conversions on all networks I use at this point: LinkShare.com, Clickbank, Commission Junction and Amazon!

I'm still happy with that check because now I can apply to Direct Deposit already! You have to give this to Linkshare: they are the fastest to pay! It just may not be the paycheck you were hoping for lol!

P.S. Same thing about scanning that check and posting it here: I'll wait until next month, if you don't mind ;)

Twitter is my best source of income :S - June 2009 update

Well, three months later, with lot of "hard" work, I am making some affiliate money and will get my first checks in the next weeks, will try to post them here if I can (have to check the TOS policies). I have conversions with Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction and Linkshare, and I am making almost $100/week at this point, which is far from enough! But people around me seems to freak out and want to jump in the train even if they knew nothing about Internet! I can do nothing for them!!

Anyway, I've become a Twitter freak in the last weeks and I was thinking on a way to make money on Twitter, and I found this Twitter system on Clickbank. I don't know I decide to give it a try, I set up a new account and two days later I have 250 followers - without doing the follow you maybe you'll follow me s**t! - and money was already starting to flow! (Take a look at this new Twitter account - check the number of RTs I got in 2 dayz!) Now I don't believe this, I am making more money with it than all my other websites! Almost frustrating loll!

Well, at least I could show this to my cousin, maybe he'll stop begging me for money! This is so easy even him can do it! ;D

Bing - Google war: Stock markets reaction on Nasdaq

So, who was the real winners and losers of that first day of Bing? Microsoft, Google? What are the stock markets reaction?

Well, I'd take a look at Nasdaq stock quotes today:

Microsoft was rising all day, going from 21.04 to 21.40, a gain of 2.39%. Nothing spectacular here.

Google? Same thing! From 419.0 to 426.56, a 2.28% gain! Hummm, I think we may have to wait a little longer to see significant results.

Then I thought Yahoo may had take a big hit, considering last year Microsoft offer. So, what happened to Yahoo stock today? After going down from 9h30 to 11h00 AM, action rise from 16.18 to 16.58, a 4.48% gain!!

So, who wins the Bing-Google war first act? Yahoo?!?

About Google and aStores

Ah la la! (Is this frenchie? loll) So much work! I didn't have time to make too much posts here, I have so many others pages to take care, and I'm still learning the basic ropes, a lot every day! Well, I have to admit it is really hard to gain some Google juice, and things are going so s--l--o--w on the 'net! Backlinks take forever to kick in, directories and search engines can easily take more than a month to index your sites, and Google seems to give way too much importance on the age of the websites lolll! Seriously, how often do you Google something only to find old and out0of-date websites? That's really a problem!

Anyway, I make my first Amazon aStores' sales this week! I will continue to give it a try. I found it may be better to wrapped the store on the homepage directly, instead of subdirectories only; people will often go away if they didn't see products and store pages on the homepage - maybe they don't want to browse menus, maybe they don't even know what menus are :P - but hey I still have a lot of testing to do.

Bought another domain name btw, very excited about it, like always, but check this new Nintendo Wii Canada Online Store! I think I'm doing better and better. I would like to scrap my older websites for building them in a better way, but I don't want to play with Url redirections yet. Maybe later, but later will be worse. Anyway.

I won't talk and put backlinks on everything I worked on in the last weeks, but I want to tell you a last thing: some of my websites start to gain some Google rank! Everytime I begin to desperate, things finally goes in the right way!

See ya!

Some new aStore websites

Can't believe I didn't write here for so long! Sorry folks! As you can see in my profile, I started some other blogs too. Not too much posts, I made them mostly to go with my websites. Blogs are greats for short news, and I like all these post URL. I found they give you a great way to "advertise" actual sales deals. I do think about switching to Wordpress though.

As of my websites, for sure I'm still with Joomla! I have made some other websites too, and now I'm mostly trying Amazon aStores. Both PspSales and GarminSave are now online, and GarminGpsMap will be tomorrow. In fact, after having worked on my Discount Lenses Canada website for a month and finally doing my Psp Sales Amazon aStore, I thought it will be better if I convert my parked domains on actual aStoreswebsites, the fastest way I can, before coming back and doing something better. We'll see. Any, I have four Gps related websites, so these ones will be done fast!

I have made a nice coupon codes section on my contact lenses website too, with links on the shop comparaison table, I think I may have some good results with these. 'Til next time!

And new Gi Joe lenses

OK, I always love Gi Joe, I mean Cobra, and with the new Resolute cartoon who just showed up, I wanted to jump in the wagon, I already had a Squidoo lens on Cobras, so I decided to make some others Cobra characters et Gi Joe Resolute lens:

http://www.squidoo.com/gijoe-resolute
http://www.squidoo.com/cobra-commander

First conversion!

Oh my god oh my god oh my god! I finally had it! My first conversion ever!! I'm so happy I cannot believe this! Hurray! After so much work, I really needed this! I know it had to happen in the next week because I feared to give up! Now, the REAL work begins!!

By the way, out of nowhere, this first conversion come from Amazon, which I didn't promote that much, and from a Gift Certificate sale! I almost had anything to do with that sale, except the click, but I will take it.

Gosh, it is the biggest 6$ I ever had! I don't give a damn about the amount, conversion is all that counts! Good luck everyone, don't give up, your turn will come!

I'm in love with Squidoo

By the way, I really want to tell you about Squidoo, which I just found a week ago, and I'm really into it! Too much! At first, it seems to be a great tool to promote your websites, but it is so much fun that I can't stop doing this! I'm very impress with the Google strenght of these pages, being backed by the "Squidoo" stamp! I'll come back on this, but take a look at my first webpages tries:

Working too hard!

Well, I do work too hard on my Internet projects; learning Joomla! isn't an easy task! And tweaking websites is not my favorite part. I do really like writing, I ever does! I will try to keep in touch a little more in the next weeks. Some things didn't work too well with my Discount Lenses website, mainly affilation misunderstood (Canada/USA dual-websites problem) so you could say a lose my first month: still no conversion, unbelievable! That being said, I do post a lot of signifiant links, gaining slowly some credibility with Google. I do have a lot of clicks-through, and I really think thigns are going really well. Call me an optimist! So, you could take a look at my lasts Discount Lenses pages, but still lot of works to do, as you'll see.

By the way, I bought another domain name. Am very pleased of it at first, like always. We'll see if there's something to do with it, but I'm very happy to find it: Eee Pc Canada. Yes sir! I really think these little netbooks will be the rage in no time, and I will try again to go with the Canadian niche. We'll see.

Make your Joomla templates with Artisteer

I have tried Artisteer and I really love it. You can make great Joomla template with it with a click of a button. I can't believe this tool actually exist: the generated templates are all well-designed and good-looking, they're optimized for Joomla, and when I say optimized, I mean it: minimal Java scripts and CSS stylesheet, finely tuned images, fast templates. It is not cheap, but if you need more than one template for your Joomla websites, it will pay by itself!
